Kicking Off 2010 With A Classic

Friday night kicks off the 2010 High School Football Season on SFMSports.Net. In Baltimore, we'll feature a WCAC and MIAA meeting between McDonogh and Gonzaga at Towson University's Unitas Stadium. Kick off is at 6:50pm on FOX 1370 Sports Radio and SFMSports Channel 1.

On the Eastern Shore, our fourth year of Stephen Decatur Seahawks Football coverage starts at 5:35pm on WQMR 101.1 FM and SFMSports Channel 2 as the Seahawks host Rising Sun.

Have You Ever Dreamed of Being A Sportscaster?

This fall, SFMSports.Net in conjunction with the Broadcast Institute of Maryland is offering aspiring sportscasters the opportunity to gain major exposure while working hands-on with several SFMSports.Net high school football games this season.

Starting September 3 through November 6, we'll be accepting entries in our Young Sportscasters Contest. Just send us a 2 minute sample of your best play by play work. You can call a game in person, from the TV or from the radio. Just send us your sample. Each week, we'll feature one qualifier during our BIM Half-Time Show. At the end of the season, we'll pick one qualifier to win the grand prize...the opportunity to call a quarter of action during the City vs Poly game on November 9 at M&T Bank Stadium. To enter, simply upload a 2 minute MP3 sample HERE

This contest is open to all legal residents of MD, VA, WV, DC, DE and PA over the age of 18. View the complete contest rules.

SFMSports.Net is the only place to hear the game.

We'll broadcast live coverage starting Saturday, November 6 at 11:30am on Baltimore's FOX 1370 and worldwide on SFMSports Channel 1.
